Account Director - Public Relations

Inizio Evoke Comms is a global, award-winning health communications agency that partners with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medtech, consumer, and non-profit clients. We deliver insights-driven public relations campaigns, policy programs, and initiatives that advance health and wellbeing around the world.

We are looking for an Account Director with experience in Corporate Communications to be responsible for the hands-on planning, management, implementation, and financial oversight of specific client programs. You will serve as the day-to-day client lead for a key executive visibility client.

This is a remote role out of our New York, NY office. You will be reporting to a Senior Vice President.

You Will:

Client Partnership

• Develop and cultivate relationships with clients and external audiences

• Thoughtfully counsel clients based on communications landscape and business goals, showcasing ability to marry communications/PR tactics up to client's broader strategy

• Proactively direct planning and execution of projects ensuring efficiency and high-quality delivery of results

• Play a major part in drafting client communications materials, such as emails, speaking event submissions and related presentation materials, reviewing and guiding on briefing sheets in collaboration with imbedded media team, and reviewing social media content in partnership with the social team.

• Have skills necessary to handle issues management, mobilizing teams to respond to issues and provide strategically sound recommendations to clients on how to address issues

• Manage development of client budgets and SOWs, track monthly financials for each client, and mentors mid-to-junior level staff on financials

• Take an active role in monthly forecasting and developing staff plans for core clients

Business Development & Operations

• Research, develop and present new business proposals, gaining more confidence and experience leading new business efforts

• Participate in organic/new business pitches with confidence

• Identify and realizes opportunities for organic account growth

• Use data to guide agency recommendations and idea generation

Leadership & Teamwork

• Proactively find professional development opportunities and skillset growth

• Use team meetings as an opportunity to share knowledge and to keep team engaged

• Support the team in creating programs by guiding the quality and direction of the team on a daily basis

• Provide direct and constructive feedback to junior team members, giving opportunities to grow through stretching their abilities. Encourage regular feedback from manager and team members

• Coach, mentor and motivate junior team members

• Role model company values and inspires an inclusive culture

You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, business or health / science related field or equivalent experience

• 7+ years of experience in public relations and communications; health or pharma communications experience preferred

• Experience in corporate communications including internal communications, external communications, executive visibility, etc.

• Experience with change management communications a plus

• Recognized project management experience

• Experienced manager with an ability and passion for helping to drive professional growth of team members

• Understanding of Inizio Evoke Communications' missions and values and a commitment to the growth and success of the company

• Experience driving current or new business growth

• Passion for improving lives through innovations in health

• A good understanding of current issues in domestic and global health

• Social and traditional media experience

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. We consider compensation more than just a base salary – that’s why we also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.
Compensation
$100,000—$130,000 USD
