We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Accessibility Specialist to assist us in creating products that are accessible and usable by all individuals. In this position, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing that our web and mobile applications adhere to the highest accessibility, usability, and compliance standards. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and QA teams to integrate accessibility at every phase of the product lifecycle—from initial design evaluations through to release readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
Accessibility Evaluation & Compliance
• Perform comprehensive accessibility evaluations of web applications (Angular, React) and mobile applications (React Native for iOS & Android).
• Ensure that products comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and ADA accessibility standards.
• Assess user experiences for individuals with a variety of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
• Detect accessibility deficiencies related to keyboard navigation, focus management, screen reader interaction, visual contrast, form functionality, and dynamic content.
Manual & Automated Testing
• Conduct hands-on manual testing using assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS (and other alternatives), VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
• Utilize automated testing tools including axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and WAVE.
• Combine automated testing outcomes with manual verification to ensure precision and practical usability.
Reporting & Guidance
• Create clear and well-organized accessibility audit reports that include mappings to WCAG 2.2 success criteria, issue severity and user impact, reproducible steps, and suggested remediation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to clarify findings and provide guidance for effective fixes.
• Maintain accessibility guidelines, checklists, and reference documents for continuous use.
Experience & Background
• 5 to 7+ years of professional experience in accessibility testing and compliance.
• Direct experience evaluating both web and mobile applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in WCAG 2.2 Level AA and ADA compliance within real-world application contexts.
• Experience working within a product-driven engineering environment.
Certifications (Highly Preferred)
• IAAP CPACC – Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies
• IAAP WAS – Web Accessibility Specialist
• IAAP CPWA – Certified Professional in Web Accessibility
• Any recognized certification in accessibility or inclusive design.
Technical Expertise
• Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, accessible UI patterns, ARIA roles, states, and properties, keyboard accessibility, focus management, and screen reader behaviors across different platforms.
• Hands-on experience with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and WAVE.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Collaboration, Enablement & Mentorship
• Partner with Design teams to assess UX and visual designs for accessibility early in the development process.
• (Preferred) Experience reviewing accessibility in Figma designs.
• Work alongside Developers to encourage accessible coding practices, use of semantic HTML, and appropriate ARIA implementations.
• (Preferred) Familiarity with accessibility validation using Storybook.
• Mentor and support Developers and QA engineers by leading accessibility knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering confidence in accessibility testing, and promoting accessibility as a collective responsibility rather than a final checkpoint.
