Job Description
The Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) is seeking a motivated and professional student worker to provide front-desk and administrative support. The student worker will serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, supporting the ARC team in maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment. Duties/Responsibilities: Greet and assist walk-in students, staff, faculty, and visitors professionally and courteously. Respond to general inquiries about ARC services and direct individuals to appropriate staff or resources. Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and organizing materials. Assist with scheduling student appointments for ARC staff, as needed. Answer and direct phone calls, take accurate messages, and forward calls appropriately. Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information in compliance with university policy and ADA guidelines. Assist with the preparation of events, workshops, and office projects. Qualifications: Current student in good academic standing at the University of the District of Columbia. Maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduates and 3.0 GPA for graduate students. Currently enrolled in classes at UDC as an undergraduate or graduate student. Any other academic standings required by the department and/or funding source require documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn office systems. Prior office, administrative, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Monitor and restock office supplies as needed. Other duties as assigned in support of ARC operations.
