Access Control Specialist

TENAX Technologies is looking for dynamic and reliable employees with exceptional customer service skills.

The Access Controller/Receptionist will be expected to perform the following:

Staff and operate the C5ISR Visitor Control Centers located in building 6006, 6002, 6007 and building 6010.

Provide on-site security and control access to the C5ISR Campus facilities, observing, detecting, and reporting violations as directed by the post orders.

May be required to answer questions and provide directions to visitors and building tenants.

Prior to arriving on duty, familiarize oneself with the name, address, and location of the C5ISR Campus, as well as the post orders of the assigned post.

Be familiar with each tenant Agency’s name and the locations within the C5ISR Campus of the most commonly sought-after offices or locations, such as service offices, conference rooms, restrooms, elevators, entrances and exits, the cafeteria, and parking areas, and shall provide that information to any visitor upon request.

Know the location of and usage instructions for the nearest first aid kit, automatic external defibrillator, fire extinguisher, fire alarm, and emergency callboxes, and shall be ready, willing, and able to use them as necessary and as required by C5ISR post orders.

Wear the duty uniform (Khaki colored slacks, and a dark blue polo shirt with the C5ISR logo, dark colored conservative shoes) at all times while on post. (The contractor shall supply the uniform shirt, and the employee shall supply their own pants and shoes.)

Be thoroughly familiar with the requirements for the C5ISR Campus and work area that they are assigned to.

Under no circumstances neglect his/her assigned duties in order to familiarize him/ herself with post orders.

Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, climb at least five (5) flights of stairs and have the ability to lift at least fifty-six (56) pounds.

Should the Fire alarm go off for any reason in the building, immediately call 911 and report that the alarm is going off as long as they are not in immediate danger. If in immediate danger, they shall get to a safe place and then call 911.

During periods of Intrusion Detection System (IDS) outages, an on-call post may be required outside of regular working hours conducting checks of C5ISR restricted areas every 4 (four) hours IAW AR 380-5, and completing SF 702 for each area checked.
