A well-established academic healthcare organization is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Perinatal Psychiatrist to join a growing psychiatry and behavioral health program. This position offers a balanced mix of clinical care, teaching, and academic involvement within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Position Highlights
• Academic practice with opportunities for teaching and scholarly activity
• Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric care for prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum patients
• Inpatient responsibilities include consults in:
• Emergency department
• Labor & delivery unit
• Behavioral health unit
• Outpatient care in both behavioral health and OB/GYN clinic settings
• Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Phone-only call coverage with resident support taking first call
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including OB/GYN and behavioral health specialists

Requirements:
General Job Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for perinatal and reproductive mental health conditions
• Manage patient care across inpatient consultative services and outpatient clinics
• Collaborate with OB/GYN providers, behavioral health teams, and other specialists
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and/or fellows
• Engage in clinical program development, quality improvement, and/or research initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency training in Psychiatry or Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Completion of fellowship training in Perinatal or Reproductive Psychiatry (preferred/required depending on role)
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in relevant specialty
• Eligible for or able to obtain state medical licensure
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work effectively within a team-based care model
