Overview
The Academic Coordinator has overall responsibility for the provision of high-quality educational program delivery to all clients within a Government Services (NSF) location and is also responsible for ensuring course delivery is in accordance with NSF program contract and compliance requirements.
Objectives
• Effective, flexible, and consistently high-quality educational delivery appropriate to the local client profile within a NSF location
• Meet and exceed contract KPIs related to academic achievement and the maintenance of RTO compliance at a location
• Close collaboration with the Operations Team Leader to provide effective leadership at the location
• Contribute to Navitas’ reputation for innovation, use of technology and academic leadership.
This role travels across all our Sydney Greater West Colleges - Parramatta, Auburn & Granville 
Essential:
• A Bachelor of Education or Degree equivalent, and post-graduate qualifications in TESOL, or Adult Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)/Basic Education and relevant Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
• Significant experience in teaching adults in English programs & knowledge of EAL Curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate language programs and lead academic teams
• Demonstrated ability to use a range of technologies in program delivery
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver professional development to teachers
• Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in a multi- cultural learning environment
• Demonstrated awareness of a range of cultural perspectives and sensitive approaches relevant to our clients
Desirable:
• Experience working in AMEP and/or SEE programs
• Knowledge and experience in teaching and assessing using a range of language, literacy and numeracy curricula
• Knowledge of reporting frameworks such as the ACSF
