Job Description
ISTA Personnel Solutions is a fast-growing, global BPO company. We are not a recruitment agency — we operate as a dedicated extension of our U.S.-based clients' teams, delivering high-quality operational support with precision, efficiency, and professionalism.
We are currently seeking an experienced ABA Credentialing Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) credentialing within the U.S. healthcare system who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple credentialing processes efficiently.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM South African time, subject to daylight savings)
• Public Holidays: This role requires working on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA)
• Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory. Connections via Rain, LTE, 5G, or similar are not acceptable. Applicants without a fixed fibre line will not be considered
• Power Backup: A reliable backup solution is required to manage load shedding and outages (UPS, inverter, solar, etc.). Applicants without a reliable backup solution will not be considered
• Work Environment: Fully remote
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing for ABA providers with U.S. insurance payers.
• Submit and actively track applications across commercial and government payer networks.
• Monitor deadlines, chase outstanding items, and keep credentialing timelines on track.
• Maintain meticulous provider records, documentation, and digital filing systems.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with payer requirements and notify stakeholders of changes.
• Support provider onboarding and enrollment from start to approval.
• Communicate clearly with providers, payer contacts, and internal teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Hands-on experience credentialing ABA providers in the U.S. — this is non-negotiable.
• Working knowledge of U.S. insurance payer enrollment and credentialing processes.
• Familiarity with credentialing portals and U.S. healthcare documentation standards.
• High attention to detail — errors in credentialing cost real time and money.
• Ability to manage multiple open files independently without being micromanaged.
• Strong written English; professional communication with U.S.-based clients and payers.
• Reliable internet connection and a proper remote working setup.
Highly Advantageous
• Experience credentialing BCBAs, RBTs, or ABA clinics specifically.
• Fluency with CAQH, NPI, PECOS, and commercial payer portals.
• A track record of working remotely for U.S.-based healthcare companies.
If you have not been contacted within 14 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
