The Audio-Visual Technician will: As part of our Dublin IT Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and relocating the computing and recording equipment, including laptops, audio mixers, microphones, and cabling; deploying, installing, and maintaining electronic court reporting equipment; setting up audio-related equipment; testing, deploying, and managing company software; transferring and uploading audio to company systems.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining recording systems by installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, including devices like laptops, desktops, audio mixers, microphones, and associated cabling.
• Assist in the deployment of laptops and recording solutions to courtrooms and clients.
• Provide support and troubleshoot problems with desktops, laptops, software, and court reporting equipment for end users.
• Transfer and upload audio to company systems.
• Ensure optimal network and computer function as well as minimal downtime by conducting periodic diagnostics and testing of computers, networks, and electronic court reporting hardware, including microphones and sound mixers.
• Collaborate with members of the IT Department and management to review and analyze hardware and software requirements; recommend appropriate changes.
• Perform installation, setup, and testing of audio-visual equipment in accordance with the specifications provided. Ensure all audio-visual equipment is in proper working order prior to each court session.
• As needed, perform routine maintenance and repairs on audio-visual equipment.
• Knowledge of the different audio and video file formats and the tools and software required to convert between these formats. This includes importing, exporting, archiving, and managing records.
Required Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and business applications.
• Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating audio-visual equipment for various settings, such as conferences, meetings, live hearings, and court hearings, etc.
• Solid understanding of audio-visual connectivity, cabling, and signal flow.
• Familiarity with different audio-visual software, control systems, and multimedia tools is a plus.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting computer USB audio mixers, microphones, and other court reporting-related audio equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both in speaking and in writing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Former experience in computer maintenance and/or help desk support.
• Computer-based audio recording.
• Experience with ForTheRecord FTR Reporter is a plus - An Advantage.
All training will be provided on-site.
Offered salary will range from 30,000 Euro to 32,000 Euro annually based on experience.
