We are hiring a Logistics Coordinator. Full-time position in Houston, Texas with competitive pay.
Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders such as operations, human resources, quality and safety to verify cleared background, alcohol and drug testing results, sites specific requirements, schedule safety council training as well as plan logistics, coordinate travel arrangements, and lodging and generate badge requests for internal and project employees for various job assignments across the U.S. This role is responsible for uploading Safety Data Sheets, generating purchase orders, submitting expense reports and arranging in-office lunch meetings as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate travel arrangements, plan logistics, and submit expense reports
• Generate purchase orders
• Generate dispatches and excel spreadsheets
• Arrange lunch meetings
• Verify background, alcohol, and drug test
• Verify site specific requirements and schedule for employees
• Generate badge request if needed
• Access and upload Safety Data Sheets
• Various other tasks as assigned by management
Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize Mutiple tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail
Proficiency/experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a high sense of urgency
Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pre-employment background checks will be required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
