Job Description

We are seeking a Creative Strategist with a strong direct-response marketing mindset to develop and execute high-performing advertising creative for a rapidly growing DTC eCommerce brand.

This role focuses on creating scroll-stopping, conversion-driven ad creative across paid social channels. The ideal candidate understands how to combine data, consumer psychology, and creative storytelling to produce ads that drive measurable revenue.

You will work closely with media buyers, video editors, and UGC creators to develop creative concepts, write scripts, analyze performance, and continuously iterate on winning formats.

Key Responsibilities

Cross-Industry Research

Research top-performing advertising across multiple industries (finance, health, home goods, etc.) and adapt successful hooks, formats, and storytelling techniques into high-performing creative.

Adjacent Industry Ideation

Continuously analyze trends in cooking, kitchen technology, home goods, and related consumer product industries to extract creative angles and messaging opportunities.

Competitive Intelligence

Track competitors and analyze their top-performing creatives to identify trends, messaging strategies, and opportunities for differentiation.

Internal Creative Performance Analysis

Evaluate internal ad performance to understand why specific creatives succeed or fail, identifying repeatable creative frameworks and patterns.

Customer Insight Mining

Extract customer insights from reviews, support tickets, ad comments, and social feedback to identify objections, motivations, and language that improves messaging.

Scriptwriting & Creative Briefs

Develop high-converting scripts and detailed creative briefs for UGC creators and editors.

UGC Creator Direction

Review submitted footage and provide detailed feedback on:

• Lighting and composition
• Product presentation
• Energy and delivery
• Script accuracy

Ensure only high-quality footage moves into production.

Video Editor Collaboration

Provide editors with full context for scripts and concepts and review final cuts with a strong focus on scroll-stopping hooks and conversion potential.

Media Buyer Collaboration

Work closely with media buyers to analyze performance data and iterate on winning creatives while testing new concepts.

Creative Innovation & AI Tools

Continuously explore new creative formats and emerging technologies, including AI tools for video generation, voiceovers, and visual production.


Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years experience working with DTC brands running paid social campaigns
• Hands-on experience with Meta Ads
• Strong understanding of performance metrics such as:
• ROAS
• CPM
• CTR
• Hook Rate
• Conversion Rate


• Proven ability to develop original ad concepts that scale in ad accounts
• Strong direct-response copywriting and scriptwriting skills
• Experience working with UGC creators and video editors
• Strong eye for visual quality, pacing, and storytelling
• Knowledge of customer awareness stages and market sophistication
• Understanding of funnel thinking (ad → landing page → purchase)
• Experience using or experimenting with AI creative tools

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

This role will be evaluated on the following creative performance indicators:

• Hook Rate – Percentage of viewers watching beyond the first 3 seconds
• Click-Through Rate (CTR) – Effectiveness of creative in driving clicks
• CPM – Creative relevance within the ad auction
• ROAS by Creative – Revenue generated by each creative asset
• Creative Velocity – Number of new concepts tested per month
• Winner Rate – Percentage of tested creatives outperforming the control
• Creative Freshness – Maintaining performance by preventing creative fatigue

Portfolio Requirements

Candidates must provide a portfolio including:

• Examples of original creative concepts they developed that became top-performing ads.
• A case where they identified and implemented a new creative format or trend.
• Supporting performance metrics when available (ROAS, spend scale, CTR, etc.).

Nice to Have

• Experience in kitchen, home goods, or health-related DTC brands
• Experience with AppLovin or other mobile ad networks
• Familiarity with Amazon review mining tools
• Basic video editing skills
