The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the brand’s day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes. This role will be the primary point of contact for internal teams on day-to-day accounting-related needs and will take ownership of accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger activity. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career accountant who is eager to deepen their technical foundation, gain exposure to a fast-paced retail business, and grow within the accounting function.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee accounts payable and vendor management, ensuring all payment requests are accurate, appropriate, and properly reviewed
• Manage substantially all month-end close accounting processes, including recording assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses in the correct periods
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations
• Ensure consistent and accurate transaction coding across all accounts
• Support process improvements to streamline and expedite the month-end close
• Serve as the day-to-day accounting contact for cross-functional partners across the organization
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analyses as the business grows

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in a retail, fashion, or consumer goods company
• A CPA license or are actively working toward one

Requirements:
You are a perfect fit if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Approximately 2 years of accounting experience in a similar company or environment
• Hands-on experience beyond basic A/P or A/R, such as prepaids, revenue, payroll-related entries, or accruals
• A dynamic and thorough approach to your work, with the ability to problem-solve independently
• Strong analytical skills and a willingness to question inconsistencies or unclear transactions
• A social, self-motivated personality that thrives in a growing and evolving environment
• A collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally
