4D Construction Visualization Specialist

We’re looking for a 4D Construction Visualization Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist in our Digital Construction team, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle real-world site logistic challenges in the construction industry. You will be working extensively within cmBuilder to create site logistics plans, 3D models, site progress visuals and 4D construction simulations, to support our clients with their cmBuilder needs, and working with cross-functional teams of BIM specialists and software developers.

Our Product
cmBuilder.io is our fast-growing flagship product 🚀, first released in 2020, and is rapidly becoming the new industry standard for 3D site logistics planning and 4D simulations. This high-performance, web-based tool is designed to be accessible, intuitive, and easy to use, enabling over 400 construction companies, primarily General Contractors, to win more projects and plan them effectively.

About the Role 

• 🔍 Conduct initial requirement meetings: Meet with the customers to identify needs and requirements, and extract critical information for the deliverables
• 🏗️ Build 3D Models for Visualization: Create 3D & 4D models in cmBuilder of required discipline such as structure, façade, landscape, etc. and temporary works (cranes, hoists, fencing, etc.) for the purpose of sequencing and visualization
• 🤝 Collaborate in check-in Meetings: Participate and support in check-in meetings with customers and construction personnel to update progress and discuss any areas which require more attention
• 🛠️ Maintain & Revise the 3D Models and 4D Simulations: Manage updates to the 3D model and simulation throughout all phases of design and construction, ensuring accuracy and version control
• 🎥 Capture Output Visuals: Capture snapshots and recordings of the 4D construction simulations to aid the customer in their communication of the site logistics, schedule and construction processes
• 🚀 Optimize Processes: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, model accuracy, and project outcomes
• 📑 Generate internal resources: Generate resources for the cmBuilder product development and sales/marketing teams such as 3D Models, construction simulations and visuals from cmBuilder to aid them with their overflow

Requirements:
• An ability to learn and execute new software quickly
• Experience in Architectural Visualization 3D modeling/BIM software such as REVIT, Blender, Rhino, Sketchup, etc.
• Experience with 4D tools such Synchro or Navisworks Manage as is a plus
• Experience in construction and construction planning, site logistics & sequencing is a strong plus
• Experience building large scale construction visualizations in other software is a plus
• A passion for increasing technology in the construction industry
• Strong communication and presentation skills to take ownership of client communications
• Highly organized with an excellent ability to prioritize and keep all stakeholders informed on the status of all tasks
• Detail-oriented and thorough in execution
• Passion for learning, motivated by continuous learning and improvement

Benefits:
Salary, Term & Working Location

$65,000 - $90,000 CAD yearly salary range (commensurate with relevant experience). Competitive benefits.
Workplace: Hybrid position, with in-office days located at our office in Burnaby, BC.
