Job Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing direct-to-consumer brand, is looking for a Head of Social Media & Content Strategy to define and execute the company’s social media vision. In this role, you will lead platform-specific strategy, manage a high-performing social media team, and collaborate closely with creative and growth leadership to integrate social media into broader marketing initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping brand presence, driving organic growth, and ensuring cohesive storytelling across all customer touchpoints.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business and marketing goals.
• Establish KPIs to measure performance across engagement, reach, traffic, and revenue influence.
• Identify opportunities to expand presence on emerging platforms and new features.
• Foster an innovative, test-driven culture focused on exploring new formats, trends, and campaigns.
Team Management
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing social media and content team.
• Oversee workflow planning, performance reviews, and team priorities.
• Collaborate with creative leadership to ensure social strategy aligns with content direction.
Platform Expertise
• Drive excellence across TikTok, Meta (Instagram & Facebook), Snap, Pinterest, and additional platforms.
• Stay ahead of social media trends, tools, and algorithm updates.
• Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation.
• Integrate platforms like Sprout Social and Gorgias to improve operational efficiency.
Campaign Management
• Oversee the ideation, planning, and execution of cross-platform organic campaigns.
• Align social efforts with performance marketing, email/SMS, and eCommerce initiatives.
• Lead influencer and creator partnerships to ensure brand alignment and maximize ROI.
• Lead review generation strategies across Trustpilot, Thingtesting, Meta, TikTok, and other review-based channels.
Processes & Operations
• Streamline social media monitoring with internal processes to ensure SLA adherence and high-quality responses.
• Ensure seamless integration between Sprout Social and Gorgias for optimized communication workflows.
Data & Insights
• Measure performance against KPIs tied to business objectives.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports highlighting insights, learnings, and recommendations.
Collaboration
• Act as the main liaison between the social media team and customer experience teams to maintain brand voice consistency.
• Partner with PR, product, acquisition, retention, and creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across all channels.
Requirements:
Must-Have
• 7–10+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Proven experience scaling social media teams within high-growth eCommerce or DTC environments.
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Meta, Snap, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
• Ability to derive insights from analytics and translate them into actionable strategies.
• Demonstrated track record of driving measurable growth through organic social initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience managing multi-million–dollar social media budgets.
• Experience with Shopify, Sprout Social, and Gorgias.
• Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with PR, creative, retention, and acquisition teams.
