To ensure proper selection of fabric roll as mentioned on the job card

 To splice first end of the fabric with leader or splice previous belt with the next belt.

 To ensure proper alignment of fabric and avoid crease during carcass making

 To ensure proper batching in the letoff & avoid telescoping batching & liner gap.

To ensure next belt fabric is to be lifted on the letoff so that machine should not stop.
