What You’ll Do:
Inspect and identify areas that require waterproofing
Prepare surfaces for waterproofing by cleaning, sanding, and smoothing
Apply waterproofing materials using various techniques such as spraying, rolling, or brushing
Ensure that all waterproofing work is completed according to industry standards and regulations
Monitor and maintain the condition of the waterproofing system over time
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure effective waterproofing in all areas of a building
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Hand-eye co-ordination
Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, Large workload
Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced environment.
Area of specialization:
Conventional and inverted built-up system
Modified roofing system
Rigid pre-formed roofing system
Single ply sheet membrane roofing system
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in waterproofing systems; installing, repairing and replacing various waterproofing systems, including sheet membranes, liquid membranes and sealants.
