3PL Dispatcher

The 3PL Dispatcher oversees all active shipments, ensuring accurate and timely updates from pickup to delivery. This role maintains full visibility of freight movements, provides proactive communication to customers, and supports seamless operations across the logistics network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor shipments through TMS, carrier portals, GPS tools, and direct driver communications

• Record real-time location updates, estimated arrival times, and delivery confirmations

• Provide proactive updates to carriers, drivers, and internal teams regarding shipment status

• Detect potential delays or service issues and promptly escalate them to the operations team

• Keep customers informed on shipment progress and delivery confirmations

• Review and verify documentation, including BOLs and PODs, for completeness and accuracy

• Maintain comprehensive shipment logs and ensure all tracking data is accurate within the system

Requirements:
• 1+ year of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or trucking operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with TMS software and shipment tracking tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused.
• Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• On-time tracking update compliance
• Shipment visibility accuracy
• Communication response time
• Customer satisfaction related to shipment update.

Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Internet Connection:
• Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
• Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
• Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.

• Primary Device:
• Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
• Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
• A minimum of 8 GB RAM.

• Backup Device:
• Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
• Must be functional during power interruptions.

• A functioning webcam.
• A noise-canceling USB headset.
• A quiet, dedicated home office space.
