3D Layout Artist - Trainee

We are looking for a 3D Layout Artist to join our team on-site at our offices in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. This is a fully office-based position.

We are offering this opportunity as an internship, aimed at candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional animation environment. Please note that this is an extracurricular internship, to be carried out under a collaboration agreement with a university or educational institution.

As a Layout Artist Trainee, you're embarking on an exciting journey to bridge your academic knowledge with practical industry experience. This role is designed to foster your growth, equipping you with essential skills and insights to seamlessly transition into a Junior Layout Artist position within an animation studio.

/ YOUR ROLE:

Interpret and conceptualize the series script according to the creative team instructions.

Create scenes and shots by placing characters, props and environments according to the storyboard/previz.

Put the characters in key poses to define their actions and movements.

Define camera angles and animate them, if applicable.

Adapt shot staging according to the composition.

Check the conformity and continuity of the sequences.

Maintain timing and production quotas given by the Production Coordinator.

Execute the corrections requested by the Supervisor and the Creative Director by showing an analytic mind.

Organize work and prepare presentation elements for approval.

Communicate and seek information if necessary.

Maintain a good team dynamics.

/ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

College diploma in 3D graphic arts.

Have a good eye for image composition (direction) and good knowledge of cameras.

Strong ability of narration.

Excellent knowledge of MAYA.

Knowledge of the asset manager SHOTGUN is a plus.

Office-based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

Working shift: Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00, Friday 08.00 to 14.00.

Contract type: traineeship. Opportunity for a long term employment relationship with the company.
