Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable 313D Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment while ensuring compliance with Ontario regulations and safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair refrigeration systems, heat pumps, and HVAC equipment 

Diagnose system issues and perform troubleshooting and corrective repairs 

Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections 

Install refrigerant lines, controls, compressors, condensers, and related components 

Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately 

Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors 

Ensure all work is performed safely and meets provincial codes and manufacturer specifications 

Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good working order 

Required Qualifications

Valid Ontario 313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic certification

3+ years of experience installing and servicing furnace, air conditioning and heat pump systems 

Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification 

Valid G Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record and access to reliable transportation 

Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration cycles, and controls 

Ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation 

Physically capable of lifting equipment and working in various environments 

Preferred Assets (Optional)

Additional certifications: 313A, Gas Technician (G2/G3), Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid 

Experience with heat pumps, heat pump water heaters and boilers
