Responsibilities:

• Identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions through observation, testing, and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment according to schedules or instructions. This may include cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts to prevent wear and tears.
• Repair or replace defective machine parts, components, or systems. This may involve using hand and power tools, specialized equipment, and potentially fabricating parts.
• Use various tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks, such as power tools, and other machinery. 
• Fix or replace faulty electrical components, repair plumbing fixtures, patch walls, and address minor carpentry issues. 
• Document completed work, tracking inventory, and maintaining records of maintenance activities. 
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures. This includes maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in maintaining the inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Work with other team members, supervisors, and sometimes clients to address maintenance needs and ensure smooth operations. 
• Provide guidance and training to other personnel on basic maintenance procedures. 
• Removing snow and ice from walkways. 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Technical school a plus.
• 2 + years’ experience working as a maintenance technician.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and potentially hydraulic or pneumatic knowledge. Experience with various hand and power tools.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various physical positions.
• Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

• Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and potentially vendors.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals.
• Understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures. 

• Ability to Follow Instructions: Adhering to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions. 
• Basic Computer Skills: For record-keeping and communication purposes. 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

• Ability to lift, push, pull and bend up to 50lbs unassisted
• Physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and working in various conditions. 
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures is crucial for preventing accidents and injuries.
