We’re looking for a 2D Animator to create high-quality animation for slot games across mobile and web platforms. This role focuses on animating symbols, reels, win states, and bonus features that feel clear, responsive, and satisfying in play.
You’ll work closely with art direction, game design, and production teams to bring static art to life while staying aligned with technical and gameplay requirements.
What you’ll do
Animate symbols, reels, win states, and feature animations using Spine
Create anticipation, impact, and resolution moments that support gameplay clarity
Translate art direction and design intent into consistent, production-ready animation
Prepare clean, organized animation files for engine implementation
Collaborate with illustrators, designers, and producers to ensure animations function smoothly in-game
Use generative AI tools as part of the workflow for exploration or iteration where appropriate, while maintaining quality and consistency
Iterate on animations based on feedback, performance considerations, and gameplay needs
Occasionally support marketing or promotional animations tied to game launches
What we’re looking for
Strong 2D animation fundamentals with a focus on timing, readability, and restraint
Production experience animating game content using Spine
Experience working on real-time games, preferably slot or casual mobile games
Solid understanding of technical constraints, performance, and asset optimization
Ability to work from briefs, references, and established style guides
Strong attention to detail and consistency across animation sets
Nice to have
Unity experience
Light VFX or particle animation experience
Familiarity with slot game mechanics and common features (reels, bonuses, jackpots)
Experience working with licensed IP or regulated gaming products
What success looks like
Animations that feel responsive, readable at speed, and cohesive across entire games
Assets delivered on time, cleanly organized, and ready for implementation
Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and openness to iteration
Consistent contribution to the overall quality and feel of the game portfolio
