[27308] Principal Consultant / Technical Delivery Lead

This incumbent in this role will be the key bridge for our most complex digital engagements. Sitting among high-level Solution Architecture, Tech delivery, and Project/Product Management, you ensure that what is promised to the client is technically sound, highly disciplined, and successfully delivered by our engineering squads. You will lead from the front, guiding both local Australian teams and our global nearshore/offshore centres of excellence, ensuring a seamless "One Team" approach.

Key Responsibilities:
• Client Leadership: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients. You translate complex engineering concepts into business value and provide "technical peace of mind" to stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• The Bridge: Partner with Solution Architects to validate designs and work with Delivery Directors to ensure the WBS is complete, stable, prioritised, and follows strict engineering principles.
• Distributed Team Guidance: Direct and mentor engineering teams across onshore (AU) and nearshore/offshore hubs. You own the "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done" across time zones.
• Stay hands-on: Contribute code, reviews, debugging. You coach from the trenches, and you show more than you tell.
• Pre-Sales & Solutioning: Support the growth of CI&T by participating in pre-sales. You will help estimate efforts, define technical approaches, and present our engineering "secret sauce" to prospective clients.
• GenAI Advocacy: You don't just use AI; you champion its use across the team to drive efficiency in coding, testing, and documentation, ensuring CI&T stays at the cutting edge of "AI-Augmented" delivery.
• Engineering Governance: Maintain a high bar for code quality, API design, and security practices, ensuring that distributed teams build a cohesive, high-quality product.

About You:
• A Consultant at Heart: You are comfortable in boardroom presentations and deep-dive technical workshops. You can navigate difficult client conversations with data and technical authority.
• Global Collaborator: You have experience (and enjoy) working with distributed teams. You know how to bridge cultural and geographical gaps to maintain high velocity.
• Strategic Architect & Tactical Coder: You can zoom out to see the 12-month roadmap and zoom in to help a developer debug a critical API bottleneck or GenAI prompt.
• Estimation Expert: You understand that a good WBS is the foundation of a happy client. You can accurately forecast technical effort and identify risks before they become "red" status reports.

Core Requirements :
• 10+ years in Software Engineering with 3+ years in a Lead/Principal or Client-facing roles.
• Experience linking digital products/apps/solutions into cloud environments, APIs and 3rd party products
• Best and modern practices in software architecture
• Familiarity/experienced with modern digital infrastructure
• Modern Web (React/Next.js), Mobile (Native/Flutter), and API/Microservices.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS/ Azure and similar
• Proven experience using GenAI tools to accelerate the SDLC (GitHub Copilot, LLM integration, etc.)
• Proven track record of managing distributed/nearshore teams and maintaining high quality.
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to influence Technical teams / leaders / stakeholders and technical leads alike in our clients and partners side.
