What You'll Do
Marketing
Social media content creation and ad hoc projects
Assist with special projects and routine functions as assigned
Human Resources & Administration
Clerical duties such as making copies, filing documents, answering phones, and sending faxes
Access Services (Cataloging & Acquisitions)
Unpack and process books and materials
Help with transit of library loan items
Shredding documents and other clerical tasks
Who Should Apply?
Currently enrolled high school students (age 16 or older by May 29, 2026)
Have a 2.0 GPA or better
Passionate about reading and writing
Eager to make a difference in the community

Details
Pay: $10.00/hour
Limit: 150 hours for duration of summer
Location: Shreve Memorial Library Support Services Center
Duration: May 29, 2026 – July 23, 2026 (8 week commitment)
Commitment: 20 hours per week
Application Deadline: February 22, 2026
Selection Process
To successfully complete the process, after interview, a follow-up meeting with branch manager/department head at selected location must occur.
Preference will be given to applicants applying to work at a branch in the city, village, or town in which they live
Selected applicants must successfully undergo a substance screening.
Selected applicants must provide documented proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Important Information
All applications must be submitted online.
If selected for an interview, bring a letter of recommendation from a teacher/counselor as well as verification of GPA (JCAMPUS).
After interview, applicant will be required to schedule a meeting with the branch manager or department head at selected branch/location to deliver a parental/guardian signed permission slip.
