**IMMEDIATE HIRE**
Position Summary
First Class Security is hiring a professional, dependable First Shift Security Officer to staff the front desk at a corporate call center in Brentwood, TN. The officer is the first point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors entering the facility. The primary responsibility is access control: verifying employee badges, processing visitors, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the building. The ideal candidate is well groomed, customer service oriented, attentive to detail, and able to maintain a calm, authoritative presence throughout the shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet all employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
Verify employee identification badges at point of entry and ensure each badge belongs to the person presenting it.
Process all visitors through the sign in procedure, including verification of identification, host notification, badge issuance, and accurate logging of arrival and departure times.
Enforce site access control policies and deny entry to any individual who cannot be properly verified or who lacks authorization.
Monitor the front lobby, main entry points, and surrounding common areas for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or policy violations.
Operate access control systems, visitor management software, and CCTV monitoring equipment.
Issue, collect, and account for temporary badges, parking passes, and other site credentials.
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct calls or visitors to the appropriate party.
Maintain accurate written and electronic logs including the daily activity report, visitor log, incident reports, and shift pass down notes.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per site post orders and First Class Security protocols.
Perform regular interior and exterior patrols of the lobby and immediate perimeter as directed.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Communicate clearly with the supervisor on duty, client point of contact, and dispatch via radio, phone, or messaging platform.
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and present a positive image of both the client and First Class Security at all times.
Other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or account manager.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard license, or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pass a pre employment background check and drug screen.
Reliable transportation to the Brentwood, TN worksite.
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and professionally.
Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer literacy including familiarity with email, web based visitor management systems, and standard office software.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in security, front desk reception, hospitality, customer service, law enforcement, or military.
Experience operating access control systems, visitor management platforms, or CCTV equipment.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods throughout an eight hour shift.
Ability to climb stairs and conduct interior and exterior foot patrols as required.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to monitor entry points, recognize identification, and respond to alarms and verbal communication.
Ability to work in a climate controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions when patrolling building exterior.
Conduct Standards
Arrive on post in full First Class Security uniform, properly groomed, and ready to relieve the prior shift on time.
Maintain a professional, respectful, and service oriented demeanor with all employees, guests, and client staff.
Strictly adhere to all post orders, company policies, client site rules, and applicable Tennessee security industry regulations.
No use of personal cell phones for non work purposes while on post.
