Job Title: 1st Line IT Operations Engineer
Location: Calverley, Leeds
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

The Role:
Provide prompt, friendly, and effective first‑line technical support via in‑person visits, phone, and online channels.
Log issues accurately, troubleshoot efficiently, and escalate when required.
Assist with the day‑to‑day administration of the organisation’s IT systems, including user account management, network connectivity troubleshooting, printer support, and basic telephony queries.
Handle the distribution, setup, and collection of end-user devices and peripherals. Maintain accurate entries in the Asset Management Register for all equipment issued or returned.
Support the security and monitoring of IT assets by following established processes, reporting anomalies, and helping implement security best practices.
Create and update documentation such as setup guides, troubleshooting steps, and process notes to ensure information remains accurate and accessible.
Help coordinate and carry out routine maintenance tasks and updates, including installing patches, updating software, and supporting minor system changes. Provide flexibility for occasional out‑of‑hours tasks when necessary.
Contribute to internal IT projects by assisting senior engineers, completing assigned tasks, and developing your technical skills through hands-on exposure to a wide range of technologies.
Maintain professionalism at all times, ensuring confidentiality, secure handling of information, and adherence to company standards.
Deliver excellent customer service by keeping users informed, providing clear explanations, and ensuring all interactions are positive and helpful.
Follow established IT processes and understand the importance of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+).
Attend team meetings and actively contribute to discussions, sharing insights or updates where relevant.
