Job Summary:
The Food Services Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing cookware, eating utensils, and related kitchen items.
Employment Type: Casual
Reports To: Residence Care Manager
Expected Start Date: May 29, 2026
Compensation: $23.00 per hour
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Washes, scrubs, rinses, sanitizes, and dries pots, pans, and related kitchen items
Cleans floors, walls, and ceilings in kitchen and eating areas
Performs deep-cleaning of ovens and kitchen appliances
Ensures cleanliness of the kitchen and eating areas
Other related duties as required by the Residence Care Manager
Education, Training and Experience:
Minimum completion of Grade 10
Minimum of 1 year recent related experience
Experience with a multicultural clientele
Job Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate equipment related to cleaning the kitchen
Ability to carry out the duties of working in a kitchen setting
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Ability to communicate in Chinese (any dialects) is considered an asset
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Additional Information:
Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) Required
Able to work weekdays or weekends as required
