1 year old classroom Co-Teacher

First Baptist Child Development Center opened its doors to the community in 1989 and was the first church in North Myrtle Beach to successfully combine daycare and pre-school in a Christian environment.

The First Baptist Child Development Center in North Myrtle Beach SC is interviewing for a teacher for our One Year Old Classroom. Teachers are responsible for ensuring positive, high-quality care and supervision of the children in their care at all times. In addition, the Teachers are responsible for all space, equipment, training, supervision, child care rules and routines, and all records and files in their classroom are maintained and conducted in compliance with the South Carolina DSS Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers. 

Major job functions include lesson planning, supervising classroom support staff, communicating with parents, and collaborating with coworkers through staff meetings and other activities. This is a busy classroom and the ideal candidate must have a lot of energy and be very caring and nurturing. A positive attitude goes a long way!

Candidate must have:

• Three professional references,

• Early Childhood Ed certificate (1 year) or Associates Degree

•  At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not necessary

•  Have the ability to pass an initial and intermittent background checks and receive  clearance for working with young children
• Be physically able to sit on the floor and stand for long periods of time, and to move  around quickly as needed. Be physically able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds to  chest height. Be physically able to climb and function within and around outdoor playground equipment.
• Have a warm, supportive attitude toward children and families. Be flexible and willing to adapt to changes in the program. Be willing to accept supervision in order  to improve work performance
• Energetic and ready for a FUN, TEAM environment!
